Michal Janecek

Articling Student

Michal grew up in Czechoslovakia and moved to Burlington, Ontario as a teenager. Being fluent in three languages enables him to aid clients more fully.

Michal attended McMaster University where he studied history. After that, Michal went to the University of Essex Law School where he graduated with an honours degree in law. While attending law school, Michal taught English to ESL students, with a particular focus on aiding them with not only their vocabulary but communication skills as well. Throughout his law studies, Michal worked in the construction and pool business where he sharpened his business skills and experience, and deepened his understanding of small and medium sized enterprises.

In 2016 Michal completed his National Committee of Accreditation requirements to enable him to start articling in Ontario. He enjoys meeting new clients and assists in drafting and advising them on shareholder rights, partnership agreements, contracts and incorporations. Michal is hoping to advance the firms clientele by not only studying for his upcoming bar exam, but also enrolling in the Canadian In-Depth Tax course to hone his tax law skills and expertise.

Outside of work, Michal can be seen cycling, working on his fitness and playing chess.
